Melbourne was invited to join the Great Wine Capitals Global Network in 1999. The Network works to promote international winery tourism, as well as economic, academic and cultural exchanges between the eight cities of the Global Network. The member cities encompass “Olde World” and New World wine regions. They are: Bordeaux, Bilbao-Rioja, Florence, Porto, Cape Town, San Francisco-Napa Valley, Mendoza and Melbourne.

Focus on Tours is delighted to have been appointed the official Travel Agency for Melbourne and will be working with agents in the other cities to promote and develop tours specific to the wine areas of the member cities.
